The exhibition “Mariupol. The Path of Memory and Dream” was presented live during the national telethon broadcast
The memory of Mariupol cannot remain just history. It must become a symbol of the struggle for truth.
As part of the international forum “Reconstruction and Justice for Ukraine – Europe’s Responsibility in Shaping International Security,” held in Gdańsk, a live segment was broadcast during the special edition of the national “United News” telethon on the 1+1 TV channel. Host Iryna Prokofieva and theatre director Vladyslav Troitskyi, curator of the exhibition “Mariupol. The Path of Memory and Dream,” discussed why the exhibition appeared at this particular moment and what role it plays within the international human rights initiative Mariupol Justice.
The broadcast became an opportunity to bring the story of Mariupol into the broader public space, reminding audiences that the destroyed city is not only a symbol of tragedy, but also of justice and accountability. It represents a different way of speaking to the world — through a return to fundamental human values.
The exhibition will remain on display at the Museum of the Second World War in Gdańsk until 16 March.
